My Philip Bridgman (1796-1846) and Sarah Ann Carnes (1803-1845) were married arount 1818. I am seeking Philip's parents and other ancestry. His living children indicated in 1880 various places of birth: DE, VA, OH.
I found Philip & Sarah in Deersville, Harrison Co., OH in 1820, 1830, 1840 census. In 1820 they were living next to Sarah's parents, Thomas Carnes and Elizabeth Dunham. I have extensive information on Elizabeth Dunham.
Seeking parents and ancestry of Thomas Carnes.
Philip and Sarah had 14 children. I have located descendants of 12 of the 14. After Philip and Sarah died before 1850 census, the children were placed with various families in the community, many of whom I connected as family. Missing is Joshua Bridgman (abt 1823) and Thomas (abt 1825) Bridgman.

Thomas married Martha Hardin or Harding and had 3 children.
Have papers Philip signed giving permission to marry. 1850 Stock Twp, Harrison Co, OH, 13 Sept 1850 Page634/318 Dwelling 107
Thomas Brisben 25 farmer, Harrison Co, OH; Margaret 25, Harrison Co, OH; Joshua 4 m, Sarah Jane 3 f, Charles 1 m. Children all born Harrison Co, OH. Even though the name is spelled Brisben, they live just five houses from Charles, his brother, and other Hardin girls who are married. I do not find them again. No trace of children. A Margaret Bridgeman married a Richard Mansfield 25 Dec 1856. I didn't find her with the children.
I believe that their son, Joshua, was in Brown Co., OH with Aquilla Lukens in 1850 census. Have never found anything further on him.
