Margaret was born in Bristol in 1903.
Her parents were Frederick PLUCKNETT b1869 Western Bampfield Somerset
and Lousia Jane Morris PAGE b1874 Newport Avon.(known as Lizzie)

Margaret devoted her life to nursing. In 1940, she was appointed assistant matron of Nottingham General Hospital, and one year later she became matron.

Four days later came the first air raid on Nottingham.
The war meant convoys of wounded from Dunkirk; even some German prisioners were nursed, she said a nurses first essential, is a love of humanity and to really care about others.

After 30 years of nursing she retired in 1958.
Margaret died in 2003, six months short of reaching 100 years.

In 1811 he married Margaret ELLIOTT and two daughters Maria
(Mrs Henry GRAY)and Jane (Mrs James IRVINE,were born.
He later married Sarah WALKER. In 1838 he came to Australia with his second wife and family on the ship "Susan".He went to the south coast and then to Ourimbah or Blue Gum Flat in the Hawkesbury River valley where he was in the timber trade, shipping and farming and inn keeping.

He was reputed to be 103 years old when he died at Burrawang in 1885.
The children of his second marriage were:James,Sarah,Margaret,John,William,Edward,Alice and Mary Jane.

Henry GRAY (1806-1894) his parents were John GRAY and Mary HEATHERINGTON.

Henry married Maria WALMSLEY Born 15th May 1815 Etonclaw,Co, Fermanagh,Northern Ireland. Maria died 2 April Fountaindale Jamberoo NSW.Maria was the daughter of Edward WALMSLEY and Margaret ELLIOTT

Henry and Maria arrived in Australia on the"Wilson" 7th January 1842.
The GRAYS in Ireland were tennant farmers, a proud people who wanted to better themselves. There was not much of a future in Ireland,with large families, famine and political unrest of the era.

Henry and his wife settled in the Kiama district with their three first born children. Margaret 1835, Jane 1837 Maria 1841 all born in Ardess,Co,Fermanagh.

They settled in the Kiama district living at "Spring Hill" Saddleback,
where Henry was the original owner of three adjacent farms, being Portions 105.106 and 107 (Parish map of Kiama County of Camden)Portion
107,53 acres was called "Saddleback"; The adjoining Portion 106acres was called "Mount Joy", and the remaining Portion,105 covered 65 acres making a combined total of 164 adjoining acres on either side of the Saddleback road, down to Kiama.
The family also lived at "Omega retreat" Gerringong, and then in 1854 at Hawthorn Glen, Jamberoo.

Henry and Maria had nine more children, William Henry 1844,Sophia Ann
1846,Elizabeth 1848,Emma "Emily"1850,John James 1851,Hugh Edward 1856,Isabella Rachel1857,Lucinda1858,Matilda1862.

Henry and his brothe George collected voluntary contributions of two hundred pounds for the first Church of England church Gerringong.In
1856 a timber and slab church was built in Fern Street, Gerringong to accommodate two hundred people. This church was later burnt down.

Henry and Maria lived in the Jamberoo district for the rest of their lives and are buried in Kiama cemetery.

Lily Wilson was the daughter of Sofina PLUCKNETT and William WILSON
born in 1906 and died in 1971 the family lived and farmed on the south coast.

Lily married Malcolm DAVIS and had two sons Lyle and Alan.

In a career spanning more than 40 years, Lily made a name for herself as an outstanding horsewoman.

A highlight of her life came in 1927 at the Royal Show when she received a sash for the Dutchess of York's ladies and gentlemen hunt in pairs from the Dutchess of York, better known as the Queen Mother.

In those days when Australia was known for the quality of its horsemen
and women.
It was a long way from her days as a little girl who started off riding a cow when she lived on a farm.
