looking4white on Family Tree Circles

I am trying to find my family. My mother was born Shirley Eva White. I remember her telling me her dads name was Eric White and Grandfather was David to whom I am supposed to be named after. She does have a sister Pearl. At age 40 I am the eldest of the family. Without a lot of knowledge of my family I am tring to find the missing pieces. With 6 kids I will make sure they know where thier family was or hopefully is from.
I remember some talk about Southampton, Yorkshire, but she was vaigue.
Any help with this quest will be so greatly appreciated.
My grandfather Eric probably passed away sometime in the 80's maybe early 90's
