Searching for Cival War Veterans

I haven't been doing research for very long but I have found a couple of very good websites to research Cival War Veterans. Be warned in advance though it is easy to get distracted. I often find myself reading about people that I have no connection to. The first one is: http://www.researchonline.net/index.htm This one you can go state by state and look up all kinds of information starting withe the name of the person you are looking for and on to information about the Co., or Regiment they served in, to battles they took part in.
The next site is pretty specific to Arkansas.

This is the ARKANSAS Edward G. Gerdes Civil War Home Page

This has so much information I don't even know where to start. I includes information about POW camps, Union soldiers, CSA, battles and much more. Hope this helps someone doing research.

Givens family in Texas and New Mexico

According to family legend my g.g.grandfather Jim Givens moved to Texas with my g.grandfather Jim Givens. We have no record of his mothers name or if and when she died. My g.grandfather was a teamster in Texas and married my g.grandmother Perlina Elizabeth (possibly Warden). They were moving via wagon to New Mexico around 1912 when they met the Crims. My grandmother Mary met and married Frank Crim at this time. She was fourteen years old. Their life was hard but very interesting. They raised Kashmir goats. If anyone can find any more infomation on the Givens, I would greatly appreciate it. G.grandmother Elizabeth(this is what she went by) filed for a land grant in New Mexico about 1915.

Am wondering if anyone knows of Lovedays in Arkansas, USA in early 1900's

Ny great aunt married a Loveday in Arkansas in the early 1900's but I can find no record, census, birth, etc. of any Lovedays in this part of Arkansas. This would have been Yell or Logan Counties. Does anyone have any information that could help. His name was Raymond Loveday.
