where would someone look for family's information that where native american? i was told that names could have been changed from native names to become american names? and where would i find marriages and birth certificates or their equal?
My aunt has givin me info of the BIBBY family,
That Marion (Gagne) BIBBY had died in childbirth of her third child, and 5 days after her death the baby boy passed away as well. Her Children were Shirley(still looking for info on her), Irene Rose{(bibby)whitten my grandmother)born in Attleboro on June 2,1938 and passed in New Bedford,MA on September 19,1998} , And the Bibby Baby boy that passed at 5 days old,
That William Bibby born to Samuel BIBBY and Mary(traver) BIBBY,(born 30th of March,1907 in pawtucket,RI) Death info is unknown, had lived in West Yarmouth, and he worked in New Beige (Bedford) at what is believed to be Kaplans Shoe Factory, near/on Church Street. That Plant is now(2010) a yard sale place.
