ROACH, Thomas

I have now decided to tackle my "brick walls". So let's start with Thomas ROACH. I know that Thomas ROACH was the son of Thomas ROACH and Eliza PASSMORE of Horsley Downs, London. I know he was born 1824 and that he married Jane NAIRN in 1850 in Perth. What I don't know is how he got to Perth. Oops, apparently I do know that he arrived in Perth aboard the "Merope" in 1848. I can't find any mention of an Eliza PASSMORE anywhere. I am trying to find their happy (?) home in London. PASSMORE seems to have been very prominent in Eliza's life as PASSMORE comes up everywhere. Thomas arrived in Perth in 1848, then went to South Australia in 1851, then returned to Perth in 1905. He was a carpenter, as were his sons. His son Thomas William was a clog dancer who together with his brother Edwin were known as The Passmore Brothers in the Wandering Minstrels Troupe.
