James McQuade came to Tasmania Australia with his family in 1852, he was B approx. 1814 in Westmeath, D.November 25th 1871 in Emerald Hill Victoria Aus. His wife is Abina/Abinah/Abbey formerly Mahoney B 1815 approx.Queenstown Cork Ireland and D. 10th March 1879 in Emerald Hill Victoria Aus. Emerald Hill is the former name of South Melbourne. The family stayed in Tasmania till 1862 then they came to Emerald Hill in Victoria. Their children are Mary B 1834 D 1923. Margaret B 1835 D 1916. Catherine B 1837 D 1924. Francis B 1840 D before they came to OZ. Elizabeth B 1846 D 1880. Thomas Michael B 1847 D 1927. Annie Madeline B 1851 D 1922, my ancestor is Thomas he married Mary Dawson Wood they had 11 children. Their youngest child George Alexander is my father. Abina's sister Catherine Mahoney came with them to OZ and she married Jeremiah McAuliffe in Hobart in 1854. Her family stayed in Tasmania.

Susan was born 1800 C. She was transported to Hobart Tas Aus in 1841, she was tried at Portsmouth Southampton in January 1841. Her two children John b 1834 and Mary Annie b 1836 came with her, Susan was a widow, and died in Hobart in 1854. Mary Annie is my paternal Grandmothers mother. I don't know Susan's husbands first name or her own Surname. Her convict papers tell us nothing else but that she was a "native of Beddington". Any help or advice would be appreciated.
