Looking for Martino (Martineau) of New York

Hope to find anyone who had brother or uncle Henry James Martino
or Martineau. The spelling can be either way. He grew up on a
dairy farm and the winter snows were often up to the second story
window. There were a few of the stories as a small child that is
remembered.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. The last known aunt
died the first of the year.

Looking for Martineau (Martino) of Plattsburg, NY.

My father was Henry (Henri) James Martineau changed to Martino. Had
a brother named Frances or Francis Martineau changed to Martino. My
father when I was 9 did not know where his brother was and what had
happened to him.

My father and his brother were playing with cherry-bombs and one went
off near my fathers head and deafened him for life. He could read
lips faster than you could talk. His family was Catholic.

His sister Helen just died in March of this year (2005) this was
a great loss to me and my family. I had just found her and lost
her almost in the same breath.
