Looking for connections of the GREEN family - Mary Ann Eliza GIBBS (nee GREEN)
Mary Ann Eliza GIBBS (nee GREEN) born 22/4/1854 London, England and arrived in Sanson aged 17 years old. Believed to have come out to New Zealand and settled in or around the Nelson region. Obviously had family connections in Wakefield Nelson area as she returned there regularly.
She died 3/7/1908 at Nelson and arrived back in Taihape by train (funeral delayed as train running late).
In 1907 she was presented with a Family Bible following work in the Church at Rongotea (Manawatu) before she shifted to Utiku near Taihape where her sons were estalishing sawmills and milling timber.
