Looking for McNeill of North Carolina
I am looking for anything on Hugh McNeill - he was born in 1797 in Scotland and immigrated to Robeson County North Carolina before 1830. He had a son - John Patterson McNeill who was born in Memphis, Tennessee in January 1830. I have info from John Patterson on - but nothing more on Hugh - any help or insight would be appreciated.
STOUT and an Indian connection
I've been told somewhere in my family (on the STOUT side) we are Cheyenne or maybe Cherokee. Does anyone know exactly how I would go about finding the connection? The only person in my family who knows for sure where the connection is has died years ago. I appreciate any and all insight given.

Looking for Stout
I am looking for any information on Elijah Stout (born in Fayette Kentucky in 1822 and died in 1907 in Rich Hill Missouri) and his wife Ellinor (or it may be Emilene Varner Dawson - some of my resources have both names listed). Also looking for information on Elijah's mother -Delilia Cooke born in South Carolina in 1795. I have no luck finding anything on her - except Delilia's father's name may have been Matthew Cooke
