curiosity struck me years ago and I'm on a path to find historical data involving the last name. In effect, it is known that the last name has traces to the beginning of times. One way of confirming such information is by looking upon historical data which goes hand in hand with biblical scrolls.
In other words the birth of jesus christ, even though not relate it; it is known that an individual"melchor" played a role in jesus' life.
In other words the name has been around for thousands of years. This the name has not been altered like the majority of other last names Thankfully.
