My Great Grandmother, Rose Buri, came to the U.S. from Schupfen, Bern, Switzerland abt 1865 at 10 years of age, was orphaned and raised in a family headed by Nicholas Buri in chicago, IL.

Her brothers were Rudolf, John, and Benjamin (Benedict), who settled in Monroe, WI and Aurora, IL. Their parents were Johannes and Maria Staehli Burri. Johannes's parents were Rudolf and Catharine Kribs Burri. His parents were Rudolf and Barbara Kobi Burri.

I have not been able to find any information about Nicholas Buri or Benjamin Buri.
