Searching for my Elgey Family
Hello,
Just to add to my last posting,my family tree is down to James Elgey married to Eleanor,James died 20-11-1823.
unfortunately, this is as far back I have been able to get . It seems to be a huge brick wall I am up against,as no matter where I try, there seems to be no newer ,or more recent information.
It would be lovely to be able to be in touch with any Elgey`s who maybe connected,in some way ,no matter how distant.
My James had 4 children, I wonder if there are any of his decendants ,in here,

Searching for My Elgey family
I am the daughter of an Elgey family.
It appears the Elgey Families, have had {maybe still do have roots}in the following areas.
Bishop Aukland, Durham,Wetwang in Yorkshire ,and in other parts of Yorkshire.
The family tree I have is at the moment taken back to 1762,with James Elgey,I seem unable to go any further back, and would appreciate anyone who can furnish me with information I do not have.
I am unable to volunteer ,to physically go anywhere to gain information,to be of help to anyone.
However,if I can be of any help online to anyone,I am perfectly happy and willing to do so .
