Looking for information on Isaac Guthrie, married to Hannah Bullcock 28 Apr 1822 St John Horsleydown England

Isaac Guthrie is the father of John Pritchard Guthrie, William John Guthrie and Hannah Guthrie.
Hannah's baptism records in 1829 show that Isaac was "a Gentleman".
He was also baptised at the same time as his daughter and his parents were noted as William Guthrie(a tailor) and Eleanor Guthrie of Clerkenwell.
Isaac's abode in 1829 was said to be in the Parish of St Mary, Finchley, Whetstone, Middlesex.
Daughter Hannah married into a wealthy family named "Farley" and later moved to Australia.
Sons, John and William, travelled to New Zealand.
I am unable to ascertain what happened to Isaac and his wife Hannah.
I have found Hannah on the 1841 census with her father Richard Bullcock and two siblings, but have had no luck determining where and when Hannah and Isaac died.

Can anyone help?

I believe that Hannah Bullcock was descended from Robert Bullcock (a former deputy of Bishopgate Ward) and Hannah White on her fraternal side and from Richard Budd esq and Ann Rogers on her maternal side.

Looking for information about John Pritchard Guthrie, arrived in NZ circa 1855

I am trying to find out more about the life and origins of John Pritchard Guthrie.

I believe that he arrived aboard the Barque "Invincible" from Melbourne in January 1855. That he was in business for a period with another passenger, one James Fussell. Their partnership was dissolved in June 1857. I believe that they had been farming together as I have found an advertisement for the sale of their beef and wethers at the Pupuke Quarterley Cattle Fair in November 1855.

John Pritchard Guthrie married Mary Hawkins in 1862 in St John the Baptist Church, North Shore. They went on to live in Matakana for a period, before settling in Thames. In Thames, John was a Carter and owned property at Mackay Street Thames, per the Burgess Roll 1887.

He passed away in 1908, aged 75 years and his remains are in the Shortland Cemetery, Thames with members of his NZ family.

I am wondering where he was born...
I believe he had a brother, William John Guthrie (buried with him),
... and what brought them to New Zealand.

Can anyone help with more information?

Looking for information about Amelia Voak and John Grant Walsh , married Dec 1875 in Greytown, New Zealand

I have hit a brick wall trying to find the parentage of Amelia Voak and John Grant Walsh. I believe that John Walsh arrived in NZ aboard the vessel "Collingwood" in 1875. This vessel was put into quarantine on arrival due to scarlet fever aboard. There was also a family aboard with the surname "Voak" so I'm wondering if that is how they met?

Birth Death and Marriages NZ shows that they had two daughters and one son. Amelia gave her name as "Mary Amelia" for the births of her daughters, but only "Amelia" for her son's birth and her own marriage.

Amelia died aged 46 on the 23 Oct 1906. I am wondering if she originated in Surrey, England which is where the other "Voak" family aboard "Collingwood" came from.

John Grant Walsh's obituary in April 1926 stated that he was born in County Tyrone, Ireland and that he had arrived about 51 years earlier. He learned milling in his father's mills in Ireland(dealing in flour and flax), which were still being run by his brothers. I believe he was politically active, being secretary of the Auckland Flour Millers' Union.

I believe he had an elder brother who was a resident in Tasmania who died two months before he did in 1926.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for family of Ellen Allan married to William Wallace at Allandale, Pukete, Waikato in June 1891

I'm looking for the Allan family who settled at Pukete in the Waikato. Per Ellen's marriage certificate, her parents were listed as Alexander Allan, farmer and Mary Allan nee Corbett. They were originally from Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Ellen's burial records of 1933 give her Christian names as "Ellen Ballantyne".
An Obituary in the Evening Post stated that Ellen had been born in Scotland in 1863 and came to NZ as a child.

Can anyone help with more information about her parents and/or siblings?

Since writing this I have discovered Alexander Allan's obituary which stated that the family arrived in New Zealand aboard the sailing vessel "Helenslee" in 1864. Alexander Allan was one of the oldest settlers of Pokeno. He was also at the opening of the Thames Goldfields where he put down the Golden Gate Shaft. He was also one of the original owners of the coal measures at Huntly that were subsequently purchased by the Taupiri Coal Mines. He then pursued farming activities at Te Rapa near Hamilton until retiring to Papakura where he died in 1912.
