Looking for Hotel Owners /Proprietors of Wellington, New Zealand before 1900

One of the 'priorities', it seems, of the early settler to Wellington, New Zealand was to establish drinking establishments to quench the thirst of the weary traveller

Before 1900, considering the *population of Wellington pre 1900, there were MANY hotels, rooming house, doss houses etc

*During the last half of the 19th century Wellington grew rapidly.
In 1867 there were 7,460 residents.
By 1899 Wellington became a city with a population of 49,344.

I would like to reference these hotels with owners from the settlers of Wellington pre 1900

I would like you to help build the page - do you know of anyone who had one of the hotels below ? - An ancestor perhaps?
Do you know of other hotels pre 1900 Wellington not on the list ?
They would have changed hands a number of times, maybe you can add other proprietors ...

The SKJOTH family from Denmark to New Zealand

Two brothers, Peter Hansen (Jensen) and Jens Christian Skjoth emigrated from Denmark to New Zealand
Jens was a settler in Hampden and Norsewood and eventually settled in Dannevirke in about 1885

Peter married Maira Caroline Brandt
his brother Jens married her sister Annie Christine Brandt

There are 3 people with the name Skjoth buried in the Old Gorge Cemetery in Woodville.

Philip Jens Skjoth 1910-Nov.1955 (aged 45)
- Plot 75 Block 22

Annie Christina Skjoth 1876-Nov 1941 (aged 65)
- Plot 76 Block 22

Jens Peter Hansen Skjoth 1876-July 1961 (aged 85)
- Plot 77 Block 22

There are/were a number of Skjoth in the Hawkes Bay

From newspaper articles:

July 1883 Jens Christensen Skjoth of Norsewood received a letter of naturalisation

DEATH - At his residence, Rawhiti St on June 9th 1907 at 6.15pm, Peter Hansen Skjoth, aged 62. The deceased was an old settler

OUTRAGE in WELLINGTON - 14th April 1920 (longer story, cropped here) Mrs Caroline Cooper, a widow, who resides with her mother, Mrs L Skjoth and her sister Miss Annie Christina Skjoth (in Aro St) was awakened by the sound of someone forcing an entrance into the scullery.... James Newbury has been apprehended on a charge of attempted murder. It is said he had been on rather friendly terms with Mrs Cooper for some time past but recently she resented his attentions.

DANNEVIRKE SUNDAY SCHOOL 14th April 1891 - Miss Amunda Skjoth from the Second Class won a prize. She also got 50 (points?) for sewing in Standard IV at Dannevirke School in January 1893.
Miss Annie Skjoth of Standard III got 85.
Amunda did well at school - has many mentions in the local paper

In February 1892 Mr Jens Skjoth complained about the conduct of some children rolling stones down the hillside into his property and otherwise annoying his family.

In March 1893 a Miss Skjoth and Mrs Skjoth took first and second prize for fancy needlework at the Norsewood show.

In November 1902 J. Skjoth was granted a hawker's license in Dannevirke.
