We think the white haired and bearded man is Our Alexander McKay (or MacKay)
PLEASE HELP! Cannot seem to find any trace of my Great Great Grandfather Alexander MacKay (McKay) on a ship bound for NZ in 1860s. He was from Argyll in Scotland and was in the IndianMutiny and maybe the Crimea. Not sure if he was repatriated (discharged) to NZ direct from either of these wars or whether he returned to Scotland and came from there. Sorry background is so vague! HELP!
Looking for any information on my Great great Grandmother. She was married to William Leaming and later divorced in the 1880s. Was housekeeper for my Great Great Grandfather, Alexander MacKay (aka McKay) of Paeroa and the Karangahake gorge. Not sure if they married or not, but they had 4 living Children together, Blanche Bredalbane McKay, Mabel Kathleen McKay, Alexander Bredalbane McKay (My great grandad) and Constance Bredalbane McKay. Any info on anything would be gratefully received.
