norris on Family Tree Circles

I am a member of the Norris Heritage Group in Australia. We are trying to identify family members prior to the birth of Jeremiah Norris, seaman and miner born Halifax Nova Scotia in 1810. His father was John Norris, Policeman or Police Magistrate living in that area. We have extensive files on the family following Jeremiahs migration to the goldfields of Victoria Australia. He married Elizabeth Casey of Queenstown (Cobh) County Cork Ireland in 1849. Researchers think that there maybe connections in Shubenacadie or Stewiacke counties in Canada. We would be most appreciative of any information for our data base.
