Mary Ann Sineath, wife of Paul Crosby, b. 1804

Sineath is a name that was prominent in Colleton County, SC.
Mary Ann, b.1808, was the oldest daughter of John Sineath and Sarah Davis. My records show that there were 6 children born to John and Sarah. Apparently some of the children removed to South Georgia. I wonder if they moved with Paul and Mary Ann??

Paul Crosby, b. 1804, Colleton Co SC

I am researching for Paul Crosby. Any information that might have been recorded in Colleton or Barnwell District was destroyed in the Civil War. Thereare some real estate records but none that indicate who his parents might be. It is said that he had at least one brother, Peter, b. 1805. and maybe a brother named John. There are several men with the same names, which makes it almost impossible to find the right one.

Paul and his family later moved to what is now Berrien/Cook County Ga. The Census seems to indicate that there were several related families that must have moved together.

Paul Crosby, b. 1804, Colleton Co SC

No records of his early days or parents. Some researchers state that he had at least one brother, Peter. Paul moved to South Ga about 1843 where he and Mary Ann Sineath Crosby continued to raise their family in the now Berrien County Ga. There are several Crosby families listed in that area but no proof of kinship to Paul.
