I would like to find and share information with Melanie and any others related to these Richardson-Fletcher ancestors:

I am researching my GGG-Grandfather - Edward FLETCHER. He was married to Hannah RICHARDSON and both were born in England, but I have no idea where or when. However, they were married in Hull, Yorkshire, England in March of 1838. This is what I found through ancestry.com:

England and Wales, Civil Registration Index: 1837-1983
Name: Richardson, Hannah
Name: Fletcher, Edward
Quarter: March Year: 1838
District: Hull County: East Riding of Yorkshire Humberside
Volume: 22 Page: 216

They both died in Canada. They had at least one son, Robert Louis, who was born 22 Jul 1840 in Canada and died 19 Jul 1926 in Olmsted Falls, Cuyahoga, Ohio, USA. I believe they had three other sons (John, George, & Edward) but this is not confirmed. I assume they left England for Canada between 1838 and 1840, but have not been successful at finding any immigration information either.

I would love to find BMD information but am unsure where to go from here. I have been unable to trace either of them further backwards.

If anyone can point me to the right direction to further my research both in dates and names, not to mention tracing further generations, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am researching Robert Richardson and Isabella "Bella" Beilby Richardson, their ancestors and descendants. Their son William, who emigrated from Yorkshire East Riding in England and settled in Bryant, Hamlin County, South Dakota, is my ancestor. William's sister Hannah married Edward Fletcher in 1838, so their descendants are my cousins.
