Is anyone researching the Timmings family of Sedgley, Staffordshire?

I have researched the Timmins family bloodline back through the years to Richard Tymmings baptised 1541 at All Saints church in Sedgley. He married Agnes Briscow in 1561 at the same church.

The parish records for All Saints are published on the internet but they only start in 1558.I do know there are records before this date as I have copies of the original records of Richard's baptism, marriage and his son Thomas's baptism who is my bloodline ancestor.

If there is anyone who is researching the same family please get in touch to share information on the development of the Timmins family through the years.

Thanking you David Timmins Popt

Looking for information about the Timmings family of Sedgley, Staffordshire pre 1600

Hi Everyone

I am a new member David Timmins joined under the username of popt.

I am researching the Timmings family of Sedgley and Coseley in Staffordshire and have reached a 'Brickwall' in my research into my Timmins (Timmings) ancestry.

I have traced back to Richard Tymmingh born 1541 in Sedgley, who married to Agnes Briscow in 1561.

I cannot verify his siblings, parents or confirm the children from this marriage.

He did marry a second time to Margarett Whithouse in 1572 but once again I cannot verify their children.

I know the transcriptions of the Sedgley Parish Records on the internet only go back to 1558 but I do have odd copies of the records for the Timmings family, the earliest being the baptism of Richard in 1541.

Does anyone know where the original records are kept and are copies available?

Any help or advice would be appreciated, hopefully there is someone out there who is researching the same family.

Regards Popt
