Blanche E Bowen 1884-1959, of Warren and Eliza, Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia

Here is what I believe ....

NSW Birth Index
23722/1884, 02/08/1884, Blanche Bowen of Eliza A & Warren, Kempsey
Mother: "Eliza A" I believe to be Eliza Adeline/Adelaide Evans 1859-1950
Father: Warren Bowen 1854-1926

Perhaps her middle name was "Eva"

Perhaps she married Charles Eve (NOT Charles James Eve, who married Kate/Kitty Windeler in 1913 and is not related), 26/06/1909 in Sydney.
Blanche E Eve & her husband Charles Eve appear together on NSW ER records 1913-1936. In 1937, Blanch E Eve appears on NSW ERs with her son Charles Beresford Eve. She was still alive at the time of the engagement of their son Charles Beresford Eve in 1941. From 1943-1954 ER records, she lived apart from immediate family.

In the obituary notice of her mother (Eliza Adelaide/Adeline Bowen 1859-1950), none of the 8 children mentioned (living and deceased) could be referring to Blanche.
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article18182961 :
BOWEN, Eliza Adelaide.-September 10, 1950, at her residence. 146 Devon- shire Street, city (late of Kempsey), dearly beloved wife of the late Warren Bowen and loving mother of Kate (Mrs. Welsh), Maude (Mrs. Marriott). Thomas, Warren, Olive (deceased), Lena (de- ceased), Radford, and Jack, aged 94 years.

On 1958 ER, Blanch Eve is registered at the Newington State Hospital in Sydney.

According to Trove article http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article18124502 , Blanche Eve living at 31 Oxford St, Bondi Junction in 1949, (listed as Blanche Eva Eve in ER records at that some address) was at that time 78yo so born c1871

There is a NSW DI 21597/1959 Blanch Eva Eve of Mary & Edward, Auburn. From Ryerson Index, she was 86yo. There are 3 problems with this as a match : (1) parents do not match Eliza & Warren (2) no prior history with Auburn (3) 86yo at time of death would have her born c 1873 not 1884. I can find no other NSW DI which could match.

If she died after 1986, and therefore her death would be not yet visible in NSW DI, then she lived to be over 100, and I can see no reason why she would not have continued to appear on ER records after 1958.

I'm currently trying (with no success so far) to make contact with any living descendant of other children of Eliza Evans and Warren Bowen, to see if they can shed any light.

Possibly I could pursue records via the Newington State Hospital. Other than that, I'm at a brick wall.
