Thanks to everyone who has given me information on my great-grandmothers family. I have just received some surprising information that she along with my grandmother and her siblings emmigrated to the USA in the 1920's. I had no idea! My grandmother did go to live in Canada with her husband,my father and his brother but I had no idea that she had lived in the USA, i thought it was only her brother.

Now I have to investigate my fathers fathers family not so easy as all we know is that they came from Boston,Lincs,UK and their name is Hall. Oh for an unusual name!

Hi everyone,
My sister and I are searching for information on my great grandmother`s family. Her name was Elizabeth Rose Nethaway and she was born in 1875-1878. We know that her father was called Henry Nethaway from her marriage certificate. She married my great grandfather in 1903 in Romsey, Surrey, England. However we can find no record of her in that area before 1903, can find no record of her birth and no trace of her in the 1901 uk census. We plan on going round the cemeteries in Romsey this summer as my sister remembers visiting her grave there with my father who is since deceased as are any other family members who could have been of help. It may be a long search as we don`t know exactly where the grave is! We have looked at all the family tree sites we can think of on the internet.
Has anyone else had this problem and been as stumped as we are and what did they do to solve the problem.
