Hello,
Searching for the "Waite" family. (there may possible be small spelling errors in the surname).
In particular, a lady, First name, "unknown". Surname, "WAITE" who married Edward (NED) Conry.
They married approx, late 1850's/early 1860's. Edward (Ned) was a farmer/stone mason/builder from around the Ballinrobe, Kilmaine, Neale, areas of South Mayo, Ireland, with Ballytrasna and Castltown villages also mentioned.
Edward (Ned) Conry's wife, nee .......Waite, died a young woman with no family. Its believed she may have lived some time in the Clonbur/Cong general areas, not fully sure? Edward Conroy now 32 years old; later, remarried, Margaret (Peg) Hamrouge in Dec 1865 with 11 in family. Some of this Conroy/Conry family went to USA, Australia, England and travelled further afield and were never heard of again.
Note change in surname Conroy/Conry, this changed over around 1895/1905.
The Waite family surname completely disappeared from the area. The 1901 and 1911 Mayo census shows up nothing at all.
Its presumed/certain that this "WAITE" family emigrated. ????. Sadly the surname was never heard again.
Edward (NED) Conry Died in 1907 in Ballytrasna, Kilmaine, South Mayo, Ireland.
We are not sure WHERE EDWARD MEET HIS FIRST WIFE, nee "WAITE". It maybe in ENGLAND or abroad in some other country???
