Hi I bought some old books at a South Australian action many years ago. Amongst the books was a small book by James Allen titled "AS A MAN THINKETH", inside the cover of the book is hand written in pencil the name Vincent S. Powers - 3209 W. Fairview Pl, Denver, Colorado. Also Hand written in pencil also was the date July 10 1920.
I am not related to this person in anyway but very curious to learn anything about who the person, what did he did for work, his age at the time he had noted in his book. It seems that he may have been a meticulous and educated type of person as he had marked / underlined various passages in the book in pencil writing in various insightful opinions on the written subjects here was reading. Vincent also rewrote his name at the beginning of another chapter dated a few month later in the same as first inscription which lead the other notations in pencil were also his being similar in writing style.
I looked up the address on the internet and found that the original is still house is still there .The house is of historical significance and is protected from demolition, I also checked the 1920 census of Denver but could not find his name mentioned any where.
I'm very new to researching genealogy and would be very appreciative for any type of assistance to help me find out more about this person. Ideally I would like to trace Vincent's family tree to relatives that are living today and share what I have with them.
Once again if you can help me with information about Vincent S. Powers and descendants would be great!!!
