Looking for parents of Nettie Shanks of Missouri

My gg grandmother was born Nettie Shanks in Dec 1880(?)in Boone County MO. In 1897 she married George (Guy) Singleton. I am looking for the names of Nettie's parents. That missing 1890 census really hurts my hunt.
