I have been researching my Starnes ancestors for about 7 months and have found a lot of historical information on this family. One item I found was a book titled "Of Them That Left a Name Behind ~ A History of the Starnes Family", written and researched by H. Gerald Starnes and Herman Starnes, published by Gateway Press, 1983.

I have been fortunate to have correspondence with these two authors and they have helped me put my Starnes Family Line together. I am willing to lend a hand to anyone who maybe looking for their Starnes ancestors.
