St. Dominic's girl named Judith Frances Corbin
As Mick Jagger sang: Please allow me to intoduce myself, I'm Judy {named after Judy Garland} - Judith Frances Corbin. I was raised Irish Catholic. I went to school at St. Dominic's School on Gray Street {where I now live 55 years later}. I've come full circle. I was taught by the Sisters of Mercy. The same nuns who I lived with {1948/49-53} at 87 High Street in St. Elizabeth's Orphanage. When I got out of St' E's. I continued to go to school at St. Dom's - graduated 8th grade 1956. Sister Mary Denise was our stern Principal. My father was Acadian French Joseph Raoul Corbin born at Lille, Maine August 22nd 1917 died April 19th 1989 in Presque Isle. b. Bosworth Field ~ d. Patriots day. My mother was 2nd generation Irish from Donegal by way of Bunker Hill and Gorham's Corner Portland Maine. Barbara Frances Carey nee Monahan born Charlestown, Massachusetts August 25th 1926 died September 24th 1990 in Portland, Maine. Some of our Corbin & Thibodeau ancestors went to Louisiana - just as in Evangeline. I would like to learn more about them. My Clan
