I am attempting to research my grandmothers (Alma Winifred Creba b12 June 1912, d13 April 1984) family. Alma's mothers name was Ellen ROGERS and her maiden name was MOORE. Alma was illegitimate, her step father (Richard Rogers) never adopted her after marrying her mother. It seems that due to Alma being illegitimate the family have buried any information in regards to the MOORE side of the family.
I do not have a birth date for Ellen but I do have a suggested death date of 16 Jan 1933.
I believe that Alma lived her entire life in Waimate, South Canterbury, New Zealand. My understanding is that the MOORE's lived in Waimate and possibly the wider South Canterbury area including as far south as Oamaru.
Any assistance or suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
