I am searching for the info regarding the parents of Lewis Martin (1802 - 1860), husband of Ruth Mecum (1807 - 1860). Both were buried in the Martin Family cemetery located in Walkertown, NC. According to an old family Bible, I believe Lewis father's name was David and he is buried in the cemetery as well, but I cannot find solid documentation to confirm my thoughts. It is possible that both David, if indeed that is his name as well as Lewis were born in Stokes County, North Carolina.

Lewis and Ruth had seven children; Sarah J, James Crookston, Mary K, Martha W, Nancy Close, Matthew M (my direct line), and David L.
