I have managed to trace my direct STEPHENS ancestry back to a WILLAIM STEPHENS in CORNWALL in 1710. The area of Cornwall where they lived appears to be ALTARNUN, TREWEN, CALLINGTON, POLYPHANT. Typical first names in each generation are JOHN, JOSEPH, RICHARD , WILLIAM, ELIZABETH, ANNE, SUSANNAH.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who thinks he/she might be related.
I am trying to find out about my great-grandmother JOSEPHINE WARNER. I know she was born c1854 in Bellary, India and that her father was called FRANCIS WARNER. She was still alive in the 1920's, as I have some photos in which she features with some of her daughters and in one instance my father, who was born in 1920. She was married to WILLIAM MOORE FLYNN and they had eleven children, one of the daughters being my father's mother. I have been given a dob of c1840 for Francis Warner, which would mean he was only 14 when Josephine was born, but that's not impossible!
