I am on a Quest for the Parents and Siblings of John B. Williams my GG-Grandfather Born 11-17-1777 Died 4-13-1871.He is listed as being born in Alleghany County, North- Carolina which didn?t exist in 1777 ,also some places he is listed as Born in Ashe or Wilkes County N-Carolina ,one book list him as being born in Wales (I am starting to think someplace other than N-Carolina may be correct.)He has what appears to be a solid footprint in the area lots of kids, connection with large well known families such as the Bakers, Jones, Stringers, Baldwin?s, Tolivers, Weavers, Richardson?s and Wyatt?s .I just can?t seem to get past him to his siblings and parents. The listing of a Father by the name of John Williams that was born in 1744 that shows some places is not verified and have found no reason to believe it! Help
