Seeking the parents of HENRY WILLIAM SCHULZ dob 14.1.1880 Chicago Cook County Clerk said record show birth city to be Luiden, Germany (Prussia). I can't find that city. It is said his father died after he was born... probably 1880 and before 1898 - mother remarried and also probably died before 1898. He worked on a ship line traveling between Europe and S. American. He emigrated to the US via Southampton, Eng arriving 1.9.1898 or 9.1.1898 He renounced Prussia in declaring for US citizenship 1.10.1907 or 10.1.1907. I have plenty of US info but stonewall is FINDING HIS PARENTS. He married in 1908 in the Catholic church - basic profession was stationery engineer and fireman in Chicago. A question for THE VERY EXPERIENCED - What if he worked on a ship, landed in Chicago, and jumped ship...bypassing the routine stop in NY...what records might be available? Thanks for anything....
