I am researching my family and I am stuck.
My father was Archie Lee Forester, born 11/28/1900 I don't know where at. His father was either Absalom or Amos Levi Forester who married Eliza Elizabeth Bowser.
I found Absalom in Civil War records, in The Union,8th Ohio Cavalry,Company D. as a Private. Elizabeth got money from the government when he diedin 1914 I think,he was born in 11/24/1841. Elizabeth was born 9/1/1853. Her parents were Lucinda and Jonathan Bowser. Absalom's parents were George and Elizabeth(Shaffer)Forester, I think.
My Dad lived in Worthington, Pa in Armstrong County.
If anyone has any information please let me know.
His Brothers were; Roy W.Forester who lived near Kittanning Pa, Charles Forester, William Forester, and Ford Forester.
His Sisters are; Eva Claypool who married a Harry Claypool, Blanche Reining,Lucinda Early,Dorthy Fiscus, Bertha Wolfe, Clara Troutner and Frances Craig.
My father told me once that they used to spell their last name with two R's--Forrester.
