I am looking for information regarding Jesse Ellison's ancestors. I continue to come up blank while searcing for parents/sibllings. This is what I have for Jessie after his marriage to Isabella.

Isabella Stuart was born 1805 in Roane County at Nuddy Creek (now Martel), Louden, Tennessee and died November 1878 near Albany in Shackelford, Texas. She married Jesse Ellison on December 18, 1823 in Morgan Creek, Alabama (by Thomas Smith, JP). They moved to Brzos County, TX in 1839 and subsequently lived near Cameron, Milam County, and in or near Gatesville, Corryell Co., finally settling near Albany, Shackelford. Jesse was supposedly born 1803 in Alabama and died in 1847 in Brazos County, Texas. They are buired in the Ellison Burial Ground. Jesse and Isabella's children:

Martin M. Ellison b: Nov. 1824, Somerville, Morgan Co., Ala., d: Nov. 1908, m: Mary Etta Williams Sluder on Dec. 23, 1852. Martin is buried in Russell Cemetery, Walnut Springs, TX.

Sarah b: 1826, Morgan Co., Ala, died young.

Ann E. Ellison b: 1828, Morgan Co., died in 1854, m: Jams D. Overton on Dec. 25, 1847.

Margaret Ellison b: Dec. 9, 1831, Morgan Co., d: Feb. 2, 1849 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan, TX., m: Wiley H. Jones on Feb. 14, 1849.

Jane Ellison b: Feb. 1832, Morgan Co., m: Thomas A. Kirk on Mar. 18, 1851.

Alexander Nesbitt 'Doc' Ellison b: Oct. 4,1 1834, Morgan Co., d: Oct. 20, 1876, m: Sarah Louisa Copeland in 1858. Doc is buried in the Ellison Burial Ground. (One of Doc and Sarah's son, Jesse Washington Ellison married his first cousin Minnie Ellison. Jesse killed his sister, Flora's, husband Frank Sabo, before Fora gave birth to Frank Jr. Jesse then took off and made a successful life in AZ.)

Mary Louisa Ellison b: Sept. 1, 1838 in Morgan Co.; d: May 21, 1930, m: James E. Bryan on Sept. 5, 1858.

Jesse Washington Ellison b: Sept. 1841 in Brazos, TX; d: Jan. 21, 1934, m: Susan Melvina Smith on Feb. 14, 1864.

Joseph Francis Ellison, b: Jan. 30, 1845 in Brazos, TX; d: Apr. 3, 1907 in Waco, buried in Oakwood Cemetery, McLennan, TX., m: Margaret E. Bigham on Aug. 9, 1877.



14th GENERATION

George Wilson Ellison was born 1835 in Alabama and died 1889 in Robertson County, Wheelock, Texas. He married Frances Ann McAnnulty on October 25, 1857 in Brazos County. Frances, daughter of Joseph McAnnulty and Eliza McCullough, was born May 12, 1840 in Alabama and died after 1910 in Wheelock, Tx. George and Frances had nine children: Isabella Ellison b: 1861, d: 1898 Brazos Co.; James E. Ellison b: Feb. 18, 1865; Josephine Ellison b: Nob. 24, 1867; Charles Ellison; Georgia Ellison b: April 1873; William George Ellison b: 1876; Frances 'Fannie' Ellison b: 1888; Mary Ellison and John Ellison.

15th GENERATION

Charles Elwood 'Charlie' Ellison was born June 2, 1869 in Brazos County, Wheelock, Texas. Charles died on February 27, 1935 in Wheelock and is buried in the Wheelock Cemetery. He married Mary 'Addie' Melton on October 3, 1891 (by Rev. Wm or MM Horner). Mary, daughter of Hiram Melton and Margaret Lemandis Medley (See Melton Line), was born September 4, 1872, Wheelock, Robertson Co., Texas. She died May 10, 1948 and is buried with Charlie in the Wheelock Cemetery. They had two daughters: Mary Ada Ellison and Margaret 'Maggie' Frances Ellison who was born April 24, 1894, m: Earl King, and died March 5, 1964 (buried in Bryan Cemetery, Brazos Co.).

16th GENERATION

Mary Ada Ellison was born September 4, 1892 in Wheelock, Texas and died November 30, 1954. She married William Franklin 'Bud' Cross on January 31, 1907 (Robertson Co. Records of Marriage, Bk. 15, pg 308, certificate 1783. Wedding performed by C. C. Nicholson). Mary and Bud had nine children, eight living to adulthood:

Charlie Carlton Cross b: November 28, 1908, Robertson Co., d: November 9, 1969 in Nederlands, Texas, m: Christelle Balcom on July 9, 1927.

Obit Cavit b: 1910, live 4 months, buried Wheelock, TX.

Katherine Estelle Cross b: March 16, 1912, d: January 24, 2000 in Port Neches, TX.; m: Walter Moss.

William Curry Cross b: February 12, 1914, Robertson Co. d: August 1984 Port Arthur. He married Willie Mae Cheneyworth on May 24, 1934. Mae died November 2, 1982.

George Wade Cross b: August 19, 1916 in Robertson Co., d: October 28, 1991 in Port Arthur. Wade married Dorothy Kachel on September 21, 1940, she died on May 20, 1991.

Margaret Maurine Cross b: March 27, 1920 in Wheelock, d: December 23, 1991 in Houston, Texas. She married Billie Echols who died in 1992.

Hiram Melton Cross b: December 1, 1922, Wheelock/Franklin, d: February 2007 in Port Neches, TX. He first married Ethel Marie Higginbotham in 1942. She died March 26, 1956 in Port Neches, TX. In June 1957 he married Ethel Fedor, who died July 20, 2001.
