Aristocrat on Family Tree Circles

James Austing Vercoe and Sarah Ethel McCarthy were married in Auckland in 1900 where their first child, a son James, was born. A second son, George Cyril was born but I have not been able to obtain a birth print out to determine time & location. At some time the family moved to Herekino where my father, Roy Clarence,was born in 1906. There were 3 girls that completed the family. They were Ethel Cecilia, Alma and Mae. The family returned to Auckland after some years where they settled and married. George Cyril Vercoe married Clarice Pearce in 1929 and in 1940 as a Gunner in the N.Z. Army he left New Zealand with the second Expeditionary Force to serve with the New Zealand Artillery, 5 Field Regiment in WW2.

On June 26th 1942 during a battle in the Western Desert he was killed. The Army registered his age as 37 years old and he was buried in the El Alamein War Cemetery in Egypt.
