I have a great great grandfather with a name anomaly. In most circles it is Nielsen. In a couple cases, however, the name Barantoff or Barentoft shows up. There is no link beyond this. I have never seen the name elsewhere.

I have done some research using ancestry.ca. My great grandfather returned to United States in the 1920s. I don't have much info. on him after this point, other than he may have re-married a lady named Julie.
