I have traced my Hunter line back to Alexander Hunter, b. 1782 S.C. and died 1838 in Dallas County, Alabama. I got the birth info off of Ancestry.com and haven't proved it yet but I am certain about the Dallas County, Alabama information. He married Elizabeth S. Mathews 1817 and had the following children: James H., Elizabeth, Cornelia A, John, Edmond H., George A. and Alexander.
