My Eight Great Grandparents all independently left Ireland for NZ. Then married and stayed in NZ.

Patrick Joseph Doyle of County Carlow married Margaret Elizabeth Morris of County Roscommon 1881 in Wellington. John Callaghan of County Cork married Mary Ann Enright of County Kerry 1876 in Wellington. After spending some time in Wellington both these families moved to Taranaki. The Doyle's to Okaiawa and the Callaghan's to Ngaere. The Doyle's 6th child Francis Patrick married the Callaghan's 8th child Dorothy Therese in Hawera on 1 January 1920, my Paternal Grandparents.

Patrick Donnellan of County Clare married Hanora O'Keefe of County Cork on 22 September 1868 Addisons Flat, Westport. John Greaney of County Cork married Jane Margaret McPhee of County Clare 8 January 1871 in Greymouth. Both of these families settled in and around Greymouth and Nelson Creek. The Donnellan's 11th child Michael Edward married the Greaney's 7th child Jane Margaret in Greymouth on 16 May 1922, my Maternal Grandparents.
