I was born in Springfield Vermont to Harry J. and Pollyanna
Jones Lasell. I am the eldest of 5 children. We were brought
up on a farm. I went to Springfield High School in Springfield, VT, went to Northampton Commercial College, and in my later years went to the Community College of Vermont for my Associate Degree in Human Services. Later went to
Vermont College GEPFE Program to get my Bachelors Degree in
Human Services. I worked for the VA in White River Jct and later transferred from White River Jct. VA to the Phoenix, AZ
VA called the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, then Transferred to Asheville, NC VA then to Atlanta, GA VA but when My hubby and I got to Atlanta to talk to the Personnel
Director there, there was a call from the USDA in Gainesville, FL to work for the USDA and as Gainesville, FL
is in Northern Central Florida in the middle of the state, and near the East Coast and also the West Coast of FL we said we wanted to go there for the fishing. Sooo the Personnel Directed processed me out of the Atlanta VA to go
to Gainesville, FL USDA. We have lived in FL since 1992.
I love to cook, do needlework, crochet, and garden. I love Genealogy most of all. IT is so much fun. I had 3 children and have 1 grandchild. My hubby Haskell Combs has 5 grandaughters. He had 3 boys in his first marriage, and
adopted 2 boys in his second marriage. He is from Kentucky.
We love to fish and have fun doing that together. I have had a loss of hearing since I was a baby and it got steadily worse through the years as I grew up and became an
adult. In 1976 I lost my hearing completely after wearing
hearing aids for about 25 years. I had my first Cochlear
Implant in Phoenix, AZ in 1985 and it was a 1 channel one and it was one of the early ones developed by Dr. House at House Ear Institute. In 1995 I had my second Cochlear Implant in Gainesville, FL at Shands and it is a 22 channel
Cochlear Implant. I Also have Hydrocephalus, and Epilepsy.
