Frederick William Strong born Exeter 1838.educated Newton Abbot 1851 census, in 1852 indentured apprentice Merchant Navy 526689, 1857 Cert as Second Mate, 1859 Cert as Only Mate. Then nothing. How do I find out more?
He arrived in Lyttelton (NZ) in 1851 aged 2 and turns up in London getting married in 1887. He is on the UK census for 1891 and then dissapears. His son Theodore R Gundry died in Pasadena, LA, USA in 1980. I think that his wife Eliza nee Parker died in 1899. Did he then go to America?
Family search doesn't show him in either the USA, Canada, UK or NZ after 1891.
Any Ideas?
