I have lived in Missouri all my life. I taught junior high students in two different school districts. I retired after 33 very full years. I became interested in researching my father's family, but they were notorious for not keeping reliable records. I'm having greater luck with my mother's family. My paternal grandparents were Elliot and Mary Boyer Carron. They were born in the 1870's, and I remember that they spoke English with a French accent. They lived their early lives together in the Bloomsdale, Missouri area. My maternal grandparents were Rolla and Lucy Thompson. They, too, were born in 1869 (Lucy) and 1871 in Missouri. I am now researching the Thompson line.
