Hi, I have been researching my father's grandparents. His maternal grandfather was GEORGE MOREHEAD AITKEN.

BORN: 23/08/1845, in Hobart Town, Tasmania, Australia.
MARRIED: Gertrude Hannah McNamara on 16th January, 1915, at Waverley, New South Wales, Australia.
DIED: 26/03/1938, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The funeral notice for GEORGE MOREHEAD AITKEN was posted in 'The Sydney Morning Herald' on 28th March, 1938. It reads as follows:

AITKIN,-The Relatives and Friends of Mrs. GEORGE MOREHEAD AITKIN, of Mackay,Queensland, are kindly invited to attend the Funeral of her dearly loved HUSBAND; to leave Our Parlour. 262 Oxford Street, Woollahra, THIS DAY (Monday), at 3.30 p.m., for Waverley Cemetery. CARTER, Undertaker, Waverley.
AITKIN.-The Relatives and Friends of GEORGE, ERNEST, and HARRY AITKIN are kindly in-vited to attend the Funeral of their dearly-loved FATHER, George Morehead Aitkin; to leave Our Parlour, 262 Oxford Street, Woollahra, THIS DAY(Monday), at 3.30 p.m., for Waverley Cemetery. Their daughter Elsie (my Grandmother) was not mentioned in the Death Notice.
Does anyone have any information about Elsie? She married my Grandfather, Charles Mason-Johnson in 1914. My father said his mother Elsie also travelled a fair bit, as an opera singer.
