The John Rennie ship voyage 1873 and Mark Benham Sutton

My ancestors from Romford in England travelled aboard the John Rennie ship to Australia in 1873. I have a diary written by Mark Benham Sutton which gives a wonderful description of the voyage including the births of babies whilst onboard. One such baby was Christina Huet. Mark and his wife Sophia (Wright) settled eventually in Cootamundra with their family which increased again whilst in Australia. His brother Jonathan Sutton also made the journey with his wife Ellen (kittle)and their family. Having researched the tree thoroughly my tree is now huge as each child married and went on to have huge families themselves. The marriages produced wonderful stories and intrigue and a famous descendant of Kevin Rudd, Australia's prime minister. One of Mark's daughters - Jane - went on to have 9 illegigitmate children with Joseph Augustus Lambert who married two other ladies and having families with them before marrying Jane later in life. Together as a married couple they had Grantley Lambert. I do wonder why Jane risked everything to have so many children without marrying, I believe it would have been frowned upon by society back then. And it must have been a hard life bringing them all up on her own. Joseph Augustus Lambert was a well known figure owner of the East Blowering Station in Tumut.
