Hi everyone,
I started researching my maiden name BARGE for my dad in 2005 when his ill health made him realise that someone better find out what we could before the last of the boys were gone. He was the youngest of the 4 boys. A book, family reunion later and sadly dad is not here to see at all come together. However that was the start of it all, and it reminds me of him every day.
Now I am busy researching my mothers surname RUSS, and in any spare time I might have had my married name of OUTTRIM. All of these have Australian connections that mostly go back to England, with the odd Scottish and Irish ancestor of late.
Put together a web page with these surnames and twigs over Christmas, and have been thrilled that some have found it and contacted me.
Found a connection via this site the other day and thought I should join here also as it is such a great idea.
