I am researching the James COOK line that possibly began in TN -- but most likely in GA. James was born in TN or GA ? both states show up on census. I know he was in GA before 1837. One descendent removed to TN into Hamilton County (Chattanooga). I have little info on James and no information on his parents. Here is what I have so far.

James COOK, b. ca. 1813 in TN, d. between 1852-1860
in GA. Married Martha (?) b. 1815 in GA.

A. BROWN 13 Nov 1866, d. (?). They had 5 children:
