I've been doing Family Tree for many years, but it wasn't until I married a Thew that I got really involved. So many children! You can't go anywhere without falling over a Thew.

My father's Scottish family has been difficult. I managed to trace them back to the early 1800's through the wive's names. The male children were all given the same name, and hardly any had middle names, so you're stuck with which Charles and William Cochrane were which?

I have German greats, too. Another brick wall. We know our great-grandfather Ziegeler came to Australia, and his marriage certificate shows his parents. But that's it! Can't find them anywhere. Nor his wife's family in England - Schultz.

The names I'm researching are COCHRANE, THEW, ZIEGELER, SCHULTZ, ROBINSON, GLOVER.
