This is the information I have, but I don't know if it's true:
? George J Kyle, born in Germany, age 42, (My records say George Charles Kyle or Keil) Born 1864, Died 1929
? Wife Kathlyn, born in Ireland, age 36, (My records say Catherine born 1870, died in NY 1953)
Children Frances, 11, George, 9, William, 7, Esther, 5, Thomas, 3, Mabel 1 year 6 months. All children born in NY. (This is correct).
? George Sr's mother and father born in Germany (My relatives suggest Alsace Loraine)
? This George arrived in 1872 and it appears he was a naturalized citizen at this point.
? Kathlyn arrived in 1891 and may have received her naturalization thru marriage to George.
This George is a captain on a tug boat in New York. (This is true.)

There is question whether Kathlyn is Catherine. Her daughter says her name was Catherine, born 1870 in County Wexford, Ireland, F. Patrick Reilly M. Mary Ann Dowling
All the children are correct..Thomas died around 6.
Were his parents from Alsace Lorraine (Ger.) as my relatives suggest?
Was he born in California, rather than Germany?.
Did his sister and mother die in the earthquake and fire in California.

How interesting it would be to know my Grandparent's history. I'm 85.
