My mother's maiden name was Cole. My grandmother was a MURPHY, daughter of John J. Murphy (born 1876, Savannah, Georgia), and Catherine Murphy (Born 1884), living in Savannah, Georgia. My paternal great grandfather's parents were James Murphy (born 1837, Cork, Ireland), and Julia Murphy (married name only known, 1840, Galway, Ireland).

My grandmother, Elizabeth Murphy (born 1908 or 1909), was the twin of Catherine Murphy (born 1884 location unknown). No other living children are known to me. Elizabeth Murphy married Amar Cole (possibly Theus A. Cole) in Savannah, Georgia. Elizabeth Murphy and the twin sister Catherine, may have been born on September 11, 1908, in Savannah, Georgia. She is disceased as of 1982.

I am attempting rather unsuccesfully to find and document my family relations of the Murphys of Ireland, the Murphy family of Savannah, Georgia area, or any other area.
