It's Complicated.....

No that's not my relationship status on Facebook, it's my family tree......

I am adopted, my adoptive mother was adopted, and in turn her adoptive father was adopted....... Can you see where I'm coming from here...??

So I'm researching my adoptive family history as well as my biological family in equal measure, after all, my adoptive family name will be the one that continues while my genes have a diferent pedigree. I'm also researching my wife's family lines which converged with mine earlier this year, six months ago today in fact, with the birth of Oscar Croyde Molland-Ward.

So I thought I'd make my first post just a long list of the surnames and areas that I come across most regularly in my extended tree... It may be a bit dull to post a list, but in my experience of internet searches, I know if nothing else a list will get the rest of your pages/posts pickd up....

My direct maternal line is from the Cleethorpes, Grimsby, and Rotherham areas while my wife's are primarily from Barnstaple
