I have the following information on my Great Uncle, Henry Irving LOVEDAY:-

Born: 23 Oct 1878 at West Derby, Liverpool, UK
Bapt: 14 Oct 1880 at Bloomsbury St. George.

The son of: Henry Joseph Loveday and Ellen Jane (n?e Hodgkinson)

Married to Beatrice Annie Cole - 25 Feb 1902.
At: St. Mary Magdeline, Peckham, Surrey.

At this time he was an actor and had worked in the Theatre as a Stage Manager. His father was life long friend and Stage Manager for Sir Henry Irving the Victorian Shakespearian actor and was named after him.

One daughter born in the UK - Sybil Beatrice, born: c1904/5.

Emigrated to Canada as a family - 1908 on the 'Victorian' arriving Montreal 16 May.

I have the results of the 1911 & 1916 census of Canada.

Henry enlisted in the 101st Overseas Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Feb 1916 and thankfully returned after the war to continue family life with Beatrice. They now had three further children - Harry b:1910, John b:1913 and Ilene b: 1916, possibly all born in Winnipeg.

However, despite all this info. I have not been able to find when he DIED and where he is BURIED. I would also love to have further knowledge of his children.

I am hoping that someone out there can help me with filling in details on HENRY IRVING LOVEDAY who emigrated to Canada from the UK in 1908 with his wife Beatrice Annie (Cole) and their daughter Sybil Beatrice, b: 1904/5.

Henry Irving was born on 23 Oct 1878 at West Derby, Liverpool and baptised on 14 Oct 1880 at Bloomsbury St George. He and Beatrice were married on 25 Feb 1902 in Peckham, Surrey.

He was the son of Henry Joseph LOVEDAY who was a life long friend and Stage Manager to Sir Henry Irving the Shakespearian actor and was named after the actor.

In particular I am keen to find his date of death and where he is buried. When he left the UK he had been working as a Stage Manager and had possibly done some acting.

He and Beatrice had three further children born in Canada (possibly more), they were Harry b:1910, John b: 1913 and Ilene b:1916.

I would be very grateful for further information on John Wesley Marshall & his wife Mary, allegedly my Great Great Grandparents.

So far I have his birth (bap) as 19 February 1809 in MORPETH, NORTHUMBERLAND, UK. I think they married c. 1833.

MARY CARSE was bap.17 Nov 1805 at Warkworth, also in Northumberland. I believe her parents were Robert Carse (Cars) from Alnwick, NBL and Elizabeth Dobson of Long Horsley, NBL.

Hoping someone out there will be able to throw some light on my problem.
